My first impressions of the book are Dirty Dancing meets Downton Abbey and I am here for it! As a fan of Anton Du Beke since childhood (Saturday night meant we were always voting for him!) and ballroom dancing, I loved his last books (Moonlight over Mayfair and One Enchanted Evening) and can’t wait to read what Du Beke is bringing this time.

The book intrigues me with its setting, London in the 1930s. As someone who has studied 1930s Europe extensively, I am interested to see how the tensions in Europe will affect the characters and how political views will come into the story. I am also interested to see and learn some of the history of ballroom dancing (a direction I hope Du Beke with this book).

I can’t wait to read the end of the story, from the first page with the wedding invitation I am already squealing! I can’t wait to read more!
