I hadn't read anything by Anton Du Beke before, so was keen to give this book a try.
Sadly, I'm afraid it did not grab me and I struggled to really get into the story. (Although, to be fair, maybe that might have been partly because I had not read the previous two books in this series?) But the writing style was not for me as I felt there was too much detail included which lead to me to skim read through some of the sentences. Added to the historical background of the story, regrettably this book is not one for me.
