I found this book difficult to get into. The pacing was just slow enough to make me want to skim, with only a little bit keeping me going. I did enjoy the fact that there are so far no Nazi sympathizers within the book (set in WW2). I may give it another chance, but for now I'll say it kind of dragged and leave you with that.
