I absolutely loved this book. Having thoroughly enjoyed the previous two books in the series about the Buckingham Hotel, I was really excited about this one, and thrilled when I received an advanced copy from Readers First, and it did not disappoint.
Set in 1938, the main story line was around the upcoming wedding of dancer Raymond, and chambermaid Nancy, but there was so much more besides. I really loved how the stories of so many other characters from the earlier books were taken and developed, or in the case of some, brought to the forefront.
Having said this however, I think this book could be read and enjoyed as a stand alone, although I would recommend reading all 3 in the series because they are a joy.
All of the characters are believable, and the multi layer stories blend really well together. In the authors notes at the end, there is a hint that there may be more to come, and I certainly hope so.
