I was first really interested by the front cover! I usually don't go for period novels but after reading the blurb I felt totally immersed in the story already. Amelia has been nursing a broken heart back to health, with the help of Luke, a local physician, after her once betrothed, Edmund, was declared missing over eighteen months ago.
After reading the small snippet that was provided of the book I am craving more! The novel is very well paced and from the start there aren't too many characters introduced so that the reader isn't confused, though if you are, there is a family tree provided at the start of the book which you can always refer back to which I thought was very considerate and would prove to be very useful as you make your way through the story!
Overall I'm very excited for the release of this book and to see where the dynamic between Amelia, Edmund and Luke goes as the chapters progress!
