She's torn between the man presumed dead and the one she's moved on with. It's clearly a tragic and these stories rarely end up with the woman picking the man I think she should choose (and that's not to say I always root for the original love or new love, it does change depending on the story). I like the setting and descriptions. It does sound like it will be interesting but I may be unhappy with whomever she chooses, but I don't know without reading it all!
