I really like that it starts with a family tree! That will be so helpful when you get confused about all the people involved, which can be quite frustrating and distracting. The time period is definitely one I'm interested in, and so is the setting. After reading the synopsis and the first few pages, I would not pick up this book. Only because it seems a bit too heavily romance-centered for my liking. However, if you don't mind that, I think this will be a really enjoyable book for you.
I'm also not a fan of the cover. It feels a bit unoriginal, it has nothing that sets it apart from the many similar covers in this genre. Personally, I am also put off by the tagline 'Can she save the man she loves?'
