I enjoyed A Cornish Betrothal. It was beautifully written and lovely story set in Cornwall. Amelia and Edmund fall in love when they are very young, and Amelia believes he will be her first and only love of her life. She persuades Edmund to go to war, but he goes missing whilst at war and is presumed dead. She later falls for Luke, the local doctor who wants to marry her. But then she receives a letter that tells her that Luke is alive. She loves Luke, but Edmund was her first love and she is determined to nurse him back to full health. But the war has changed Edmund both physically and mentally and Amelia wonders what really happened to him all the time he’s been away. And what happened between Edmund and his evil half brother Francis? Amelia is going to find out the truth no matter what, and try and save the man who she hardly recognises now. A beautiful love story.
