This isn't my usual genre of book I would read but I really enjoyed it. The style of writing was easy to understand but had great descriptive parts describing how Cornwall was back then, especially about the Moor. I think the storyline was really good and kept you interested throughout. There was an interesting twist near the end which I wasn't expecting. I liked the characters especially the main character and luke the doctor.... I was hoping they would end up together throughout the book. So was happy when that finally happened. I think you could feel the shock with the characters when we found out that Edmund was really dead and the terrible lengths that Francis has gone to, to try and cover his tracks and inherite the estate. I'm so glad he got caught out in the end. It would of been nice if we found out if constance ended up with Adam and took over the estate.
