I really liked this book.

I do love a historical drama and at first, I assumed this book to a cliche story about a love triangle - a young girl struggling to choose between the man she has loved since they were children and a men who has more recently come in to her life, but there is a lot more to the story than meets the eye.

The book is well written, easy to read with plenty of details to devour. The author appears to have researched the time period (1798) well and comes across factual and knowledgeable.

The female protagonist comes across as believable for the time period, but also as a true feminist of her time. Eager to please but also a female pushing boundaries.

A love story with a few twists and turns along the way. Who Will Amelia choose?

This is my first book by Nicola Pryce and I would definitely look out for another. If you like romance, I would recommend.
