The cover leads me to believe that this is exactly the kind of book I like and from the first 2 chapters I'm not wrong! Emotional introductions to relatable characters, I'm ďesperate to find out how the mistreated man with a withered arm survives and what decision the detective who is a mother of twins wondering whether to put her career first will make! I feel immensely sorry for both and already feel like I've been let in to their troubling lives!
