From the first impression I got, I really thought I was going to enjoy this book. However, once it arrived and I actually began to try reading it, I discovered that I definitely didn't. I couldn't even read a couple of pages without losing interest and putting it down, and only read less than 40 pages total before giving up completely. I'm really not sure what did it, but I do know that from the small amount I did read it felt like just another crime novel. There was nothing there to grip my attention more than any other one I've read.
Maybe I would have gotten into this better had I read the first two in this series, but I'd never even heard of this author before finding this book. I would recommend that people planning to read this read both The Stasi Wolf and The Stasi Child before attempting this.
