I found this book interesting because of the setting and the period in time. At times i found the book difficult to read due to the German names.
From the start of the book o felt i was missing out om something, however, after 50 pages i began to feel close to the characters.
I did find the repeat of her struggle to have children a little irritating. As all parents will struggle to leave the child to go back to work.
When i read how the male died in the water i found it hard to breathe. This was an interesting way to kill someone and not what i was expecting.
I would read more books by this author as i found the style of writing enjoyable. The book was the right length and had just the right about of detail.
