When I first went into this book, I had never heard of David Young, but by reading the blurb, I thought that their book would be right up my street. I read this book a while ago, and forgot to post my review, when I was in a reading slump, and had not read anything that was detective or police related in such a long time, so I think that this was why I didn't enjoy the book as much as I had hoped I would have done. Lately, I have found that most of the police/crime books that I have read have been somewhat predictable, but this one had me guessing until pretty much the reveal, which is a good thing. I very rarely like to guess the outcome of a book, as I love the element of surprise, so this book satisfied that part of me, but I do think I need to take a little break from crime books.

After being appointed to investigate the suspected murder of a teenage boy, Karin Muller finds that that is not the only thing that needs figuring out, as so far through the investigation, a team member disappears, and Karin needs to figure out two mysteries, and not just the one she had set out on.
