A Grave For Two by Anne Holt is told from multiple points of view including Selma Falke a once high flying lawyer who has lost not only her job but also her husband and children. There are also dark and disturbing chapters told from the point of view of a mystery man being held captive in a cell that frequently shrinks in size.
Selma Falke is the flawed female M.C who has a gambling addiction and has embezzled a large amount of money to support this addiction making her an unlikely heroine but also gave the character a greater sense of depth and relatability.
Occasionally I did feel that a little was lost in the translation but this did not negatively impact my experience and enjoyment of this book.
This is the first novel I have read by Anne Holt and it will definitely not be the last.
