Never have I ever read a book with so many main characters, usually a book is from the point of view of 1 person possibly 2, two sides of the stories but in the first 80 pages there were at least 8 main characters including a lawyer, a ski champion, a homeless man, a prisoner one even a lynx and I had no idea how the characters linked together or even what the crime was. The overall main character was Selma to start with I didn’t warm to her but she grew on me throughout the book. The chapters are very short which maybe adds to the confusion sometimes as the fast pace sees you skipping between characters too quick sometimes that you feel a little lost. That being said I enjoyed the book and the author does a very good job of tying up all the loose ends and leaving no unanswered questions. This is my first book by this author but certainly won’t be my last.
