This book was disappointing. After reading the first few chapters I was really looking forward to seeing where the story went, but I am 218 pages in and I am still not engaged in the story.
There are far too many main characters. Each chapter involves a different story-line and character, and whilst I appreciate it will all come together and the links between them all will be revealed, there is just too much to try and keep up with. I often found myself forgetting who the characters were and getting confused with their story-lines.
None of the characters are easy to relate to and their lives all seem a bit boring.
I think that the book had potential, and I am hoping that the ending will be satisfying, however, this is not a book I would read again. Its quite a heavy read, and not something I would want to pick up for a bit of light reading.
