I love the cover illustration, so simple but with a hint of chill and foreboding. I do see the comparison with modern classic The Woman in Black - the secluded setting and the traveller who is seemingly summoned. The dual narrative sits nicely within the gothic too. I'm excited to read this book - I feel there's something a little Manderley about it, with a hint of Agatha Christie whodunnit?
