While I am not a fan of books that are explicitly about war, I don't mind books that are set around those sort of times but with the lives of people at home or other places trying to get on with life while war goes on. This is one of those sort of books.
The characters have enough scope to become interesting and hopefully not too annoying.
I can't work out whether I will enjoy the storyline but I'd be willing to try reading it to see.
