I think this is one of the most original concepts I have ever read, and I’ve read a LOT of books!
Murder mystery combined with supernatural horror make for a perfect mixture, I can’t believe I’ve never seen it before.
Set in WW1, a group of individuals are invited to a seance on a mysterious island. The catch? They all know each other. After disaster strikes and the Lady of the house is fatally injured, Donovan (our ex-serviceman) and Miss Cartwright must find the truth behind the incident. However, ghosts lurk at the house, including family members and friends, and Miss Cartwright can see them all.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t give this book a full five stars as there are a few basic mistakes with spelling and grammar, however they are so minimal it can be overlooked.
