The ideal halloween or montth of October read! Who could not be spooked by an old house on the coast, dead people with stories to tell, a spirtitualist and the paranormal. A House of Ghosts combines the paranormal with a murder, a military investigation and history. The narative at times could be heavy going but all in all it is a fun ghostly book to read at this time of year. The characters were believable and the overall concept easy to follow. Reminiscent of a Agatha Christie setting you could see this as an old black and white movie. I have to mention the cover of the hard back edition which is absolutely stunning. Overall a great light read for those dark evenings sat beside the woodburner!
