Set during the 2nd world war it has the feel of a comfortable read which is then turned upside down by the intelligence agencies mingled with the ghostly events. The author cleverly shows all sides of psychology from charlatan spiritualists to unbelievers to the real deal. Every character is beautifully crafted where the reader invests emotions towards them.
