Rosie Goodwin is such a good story teller and A Mother's Grace seems to follow that trend. She writes characters well and both Madeline and Mrs Batley are engaging characters and I would like to read more of their story, although I suspect Madeline's will end tragically. From the blurb, the book is Grace's story, a character we haven't met in the first look but I am intrigued to find out what happens to her and her mother.
The cover is attractive, the model's eyes are particularly striking. I think that they would grab my attention if I saw this book on the shelf.
