This book was completely different to anything I had read before, I normally avoid anything heavily historical, but I am so glad I had the opportunity to read this book!
This is the 5th book of the Tom Wilde series, I haven’t read the previous books and think it can easily be a standalone novel, however in my opinion, the ended prepares you for book 6. Given the opportunity I would like to read the rest of this series as I really like Tom Wilde, he comes across as a very modern spy despite this being set in the 1940’s.
If like me you avoid historical based books, I would still really recommend this. It’s a big book at 480 pages, but I couldn’t put it down. Fast-paced, well detailed and brilliantly written this is a fantastic spy thriller.
