I really enjoy this author's wartime thrillers.
Tom Wilde is a great character, sort of a wartime James Bond.
This novel tells of a secret meeting between Prince Phillip Von Hessen and the Duke of Kent Prince George.
A short time passes and the Duke goes down in a plane crash in the North of Scotland.
Everyone is devastated and believes its just a tragic accident.
But no one knows of that secret meeting so rumours are starting to circulate as to it being something more than natural causes causes or an accident.
Though official channels are trying to downplay this.
Enter Tom Wilde who has been assigned the case to find out the truth.
But he has an added comolication to deal with.
Miss Harriet Hartwell, a beautiful lady who somehow survived the plane crash so is obviously a key player in the sorry tale but how doe she fit in?
What does she know?
This is a tricky and delicate case of diplomacy but can Tom escape with his life?
Another exicting slice of wartime action with undercover investigations and shenanigans.
