An Interesting Start - I'd Love To Read More Books Like This

I was drawn to this book thanks to it's title and mentions of 'nostalgia' - together they made 'Call The Midwife' spring into my mind. I love shows with those sort of vibes and would be thrilled to also start reading more books like it. The Blitz setting, the struggles of rationing, the fear of constant bombing raids and the struggles to survive in a world at war are all elements that intrigue me with this 'First Look'. So the setting is one that I'd be delighted to explore and the writing very quickly began painting a vivid picture of those times. I'm also intrigued by the family drama that's already creeping up within these pages however - how will Ida cope with this new revelation; what will happen next and how do you deal with life shattering events like these during such a dangerous time of turmoil? This book definitely left me wanting more.
