Loved it! A real cozy homely book that was easy to read and kept me turning the pages and interested the whole way through.
The story focuses on the Brogan family its a tale of the struggles of living during war time, the blitz and the complexities of a family unit.
I especially enjoyed the representation of the women in this book. They are incredible. Strong and resilient, they really were the backbone of our country back then. Keeping everything going whilst our men fought. This was shown beautifully throughout the book.
I didn't realise that this was the third book in a series! I will definitely be on the lookout for the other two. I really don't feel like you need to have read the other two to enjoy or understand whats going on in this book.
