I really enjoyed reading "A Ration book Christmas" and was really looking forward to this one "A Ration book Childhood" and I was certainly not disappointed.

The story follows on with the lives of the Brogan family which seem to increase rapidly but provide some interesting experiences which can give you a chuckle here and there especially the antics of granny and her parrot.

It also covers the hardships faced by many during those dark and worrying war years...how strong they must have been to survive and to do so when trying to keep positive and deal with all that was thrown at them.

I find it very interesting as I was born in 1944 but obviously have little memory of how life was then.

As I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book I would recommend it to others for what it is "An interesting fictional book about the war years".
