I enjoyed this book as it is the type I read as I studied the blitz at school and know a few people who were evacuees.
I would recommend people read this as it gives an insight into what it is like in the blitz and being evacuated and how they would feel being young and away from their own familys and having to go live with complete strangers until the war is over and if your family is still alive or dead.
And finally I think the author should right more books like this because then the younger generation can read what is like during the war and how they would feel being away from their familys in the countryside and eating and having to take medicine you don't like to keep you healthy and not being ill
