Well, I have just read the first two chapters and - oh my gosh - I want to read the rest of it. And I want to read it now!
I am a fan of historical novels, so of course this is a perfect choice for me. I do love to read, but if a book doesn't really capture me from the start, I struggle to carry on.
I have to say that this was not the case. I was intrigued from the very beginning. The writing style makes you feel part of the book; the descriptions used, make you feel like you were standing there, observing everything that was happening.
Of course with the plot twist at the very beginning, it is even more captivating.
Some things described were new to me, of course I know about the war and what was happening during the time, but I feel like there was more to it that people do not like to talk about. Well in this book - so far at least! - it looks like more topics will be discussed.
What else to say, I cannot wait to read the whole book!
