After just finishing this book I have got to say that I loved every second of reading it. I experienced so many emotions and felt like I wanted to be part of the Brogan family.
I wish that I had known that this was the latest book of a series as I would have waited to read it until I had read the previous books.
Historical fiction based around war are my favourite type of genre so I was excited to read it as soon as I received it and it did not disappoint. Also, the way that it is written through the use of dates throughout the chapters made it an easier read than other books as I enjoyed tracking the family in the build up to Christmas. Even though there are so many characters, you get to know everyone of them and learn to love each in a different way.
