I found this book very slow and hard to get into. I persisted but just didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would. The characters were hard to picture and the story just really didn’t grab me. I struggled to continue reading as i don’t enjoy reading when it hasn’t interested me.
If you want a light read nothing to serious then this is the book for you.
I found I knew where the story was going pretty early on in the book which I think was what made me loose interest in reading it all which is a shame really, my favourite thing is the decade it is set in. I love the 50s but I wish it got my interested more.
It was written well but was drawn out and not a very interesting story. Sorry it’s not for me
