I thoroughly enjoyed this book & couldn’t put it down! The twists & turns as well as the dilemmas Ida faced was all so exciting yet upsetting at the same time! I do like to read books that give an insight into how our country was during the war & the way they pulled together is inspiring. The writer has shown me a whole new side to the way it was as many books that I have read similar to this didn’t quite give me such a visual picture in my head, this story I could see in my imagination which I really liked. I’m a mother of 5 and work full time but I made sure I had some spare time for this book as it really made me want to keep reading from the very first chapter! I would be very interested to read more of this authors books as I feel I could really have found a great writer!
