This book bored me and it took me a while to keep reading as the plot was very slow wielded. I didn’t find the characters great as I struggled to relate to them and they were therefore not very engaging. The scene and setting of the book didn’t engage me at all as well.
I only read it because it was on the bestsellers list and I love looking for new book because who doesn’t ? Anyways I thought this book would offer me a different insight or something new but this book wasn’t for me at all.
Maybe it suited an older audience but I normally love historical novels and this one was something I would not read again.
However the book did offer some insight into the the dangers and difficulties in living In the war times which was interesting to experience a little bit more and did cover the hardships. But it took a while for the author to get to the point in describing these points and I didn’t connect to her writing as much
