I really enjoyed this book. The cover was lovely. I never usually read this type of genre, it was something that would either bore me or captivate me. And this book CAPTIVATED me.
The family that this book is about lives in the East End of London. This family is an ordinary one who lived during WWII.
At first i couldn't get into the book but as I kept pushing through, I thought it to be lost in it.
It gave us an insight to what it was like to live during the war and how the family in this story struggled and dealt with what life had handed them, the ups and the downs. The writer gave so much detail and information about the war and characters that it made a spectacular read. I started reading this book the date I receieved it and i finished only 3 days later. I would personally recommend it to everyone. Especially those who wouldn't typically read books about the war.
