I always enjoy reading books set in this era and was looking forward to getting stuck into this one and it didnt disappoint. From the first paragraph I was hooked. I got right into the book, and got to know the main characters and their background very quickly. I was transported to war time Britain, imaging the sights and way of life back then. The book is written in an easy to read style and each chapter leaves you wanting to turn the page to read more....in fact I can't wait to read the whole book.
I can almost picture the main characters and immediately took a real liking for Jeremiah....though my opinion of him changes with the revelation in chapter two. I haven't read any books by this author before and will certainly be looking out for future releases.
