A moving story about the hard ship of the second world war and the united front that families and friends displayed, just to keep going.
Jo and her brother Billy have been evacuated from London and are hating every single moment of being away from their family. Jo believes the only reason she was evacuated alongside her brother was because her sister had caught Jo and her lover cavorting around and had told their mother. Jo and Billy decide that enough is enough and they are going to head back to London. When they eventually make it home, they are welcomed back into the family fold, and Jo immediately throws herself into war life. She decides to surprise her supposed boyfriend but finds him half naked with another woman!
Each member of the Brogan family is facing some sort of hardship, however, together they might just make it through.
