This is the second book I'm the series. I did feel like I had missed something by now reading the first book, however, if wasn't too much of a struggle.
I think I wanted a lot more form this book as I wanted to read more about the characters and the war. I normally really like books set in this period.
The author failed to really graby attention and I didn't feel I need to keep reading/ not a real.page turner. The story is interesting but I wanted to know more to get to know a range of characters. This may happen in the new book as I feel this is going to be a long series.
I would recommend this book if you are looking for a lazy read. I don't think I will be reading more in this series.
