This story appears to be easy to read and well written, and it looks like it will paint an interesting picture of the time period. However, the plot seems easy to guess from the blurb, which makes me unwilling to spend time reading it. Of course, there may be a twist that I haven't forseen, in which case maybe the blurb could be more mysterious.
