I am exceptionally intrigued about this book. The words on the cover "A mother's love is limitless" are what first attracted me to the book. When I read its blurb, I discovered so much more than my initial judgments. I thought it would have been a simple book about a mother and her child. Needless to say, I was wrong. It occurs to me that it's about the hardships of being a woman in the 1940s, suffering an abusive relationship, and experiencing the gender discrimination of the law. Then, finding love when she least expects to. But, her fate is not sealed and she would do anything for her son.
