this book really stood out to me as soon as I saw the cover with beautiful flowers. history is my favourite subject at school and at the moment I am taking it at a-levels so this WW1 blitz story caught my eye straight away. upon reading an extract from this book, my first impressions were some of hope and praise for he historical accuracy of the book. i think this book will explore strong themes of family and love which is enticing and is also relevant now. i would love to read this book further!
