I admit, I haven’t read any of the previous books in this series. But now I realise what I have been missing out on! I am a fan of historical fiction, particularly books from this time period.
When reading the first impression of this book all I could think about was my hope that Cathy’s life improves, that she gets the happy ending she deserves. Will Stanley turn up? Will she get a forever love with Archie? What happens to her and Peter?
I love the simple yet beautiful cover. It perfectly conveys the time period, and gives a good idea of what the novel is about.
