This type of East End, wartime family saga with a central romantic theme has never held any appeal for me. Although I can tell from my 'sneak peek' at the first two chapters that the story is well-written, it felt as though it was one I'd read before. I realise that there are many enthusiastic readers who enjoy this series so I'll give them a better chance of winning a copy of this book by not entering the draw!
