My usual genre I go for in books is fantasy; I find anything related to real world, either past or present, to be dull and uninteresting. However, I was pleasantly surprised by what I read in the first chapters of this book. I thought that the plot was very relatable to many women during that time period, Cathy's story giving a glimpse into what is was like to live in a society where women had very little rights and were defined by their husbands- interesting!
