Historical fiction isn't my usual go-to but I was pleasantly surprised.
The cover didn't really draw me in very much but with the description I gave it a chance and with the atmosphere set with the writing, the cover -looking back- accurately sets the tone for the book.
I wasn't immediately drawn in but I am interested in what happens next.
