I don’t usually like historical fiction, but I do like a romance which the blurb promised. I wish the preview was longer as we only just met the love interest and I’m curious to see their chemistry. From the introductions, Cathy seems like a kind person, a good mother and a woman eager to be rid of her husband. I hope the book goes into the background of their relationship and explains the rift between them! Based on the cover alone I probably wouldn’t have picked the book up in a store, as it is not super original but the blurb did its job and made me want to give it a go. Overall, I would definitely give this book a read!
