I was instantly drawn to the cover of the book, it obviously has quite bright colours which would have led me to believe that this is a happy story, however from what I have read, it appears to be the opposite. I think it's incredibly moving, as you expect someone to be upset when their partner dies, however Cathy didn't seem to be. I also like the historical element.
