This story seems to not be your typical wartime story. It seems different to the rest where a woman does not appear to miss the husband that has gone off to war. I find this idea particularly refreshing as we are so used to seeing tearful wives waiting for the day their husbands return. The introduction of the tenant is intriguing and possibly holds the idea of another romance a possible forbidden. From what I’ve read this book would be amazing and something I would read!
