This story follows Cathy who has not had it easy in the eyes of love, ending up with a good for nothing husband who ventured from prison to the army, and is now deemed missing in action.
Cathy finds herself stuck with her mother in law who is anything but accommodating and leaves Cathy to piece her life together all alone. That is until she meets Archie, a man who Cathy finds herself falling quickly for and now must fight certain battles for them to be together!
Cathy must now wait until she is deemed a widow, her husband believed to never return, for her to officially be with Archie. The plot twist then comes into play and leaves the book a total page turner I personally could not put down.
I have not read the other books in this series but will now make sure to look into them due to how much I loved this instalment in the series. I look forward to reading more of these authors work and once again falling in love with their books and the characters they so perfectly round.
