I read the previous book a ration book wedding and loved that too. My genre easy to read and. Very well written. I love the era this is set in and the times that were gone through. Cathy comes over very well as a sincere kind person who has been through some heartbreak and deserves a second chance. This comes in the form of her new partner who gives her a new reason to go on. Again the story evolves well during the war years and beyond and trials and tribulations of that time. A case of moving on and with someone new. But who says one door opens another closes? I liked the way the story shows how Cathy can be happy but has to put old ghosts to bed and can show a real substance in doing this. I like this story and would be happy to read other stories that follow the same genre this is a good author with insight and feeling and she writes this era very well. Buy the book and you won’t be disappointed.
